The Norwegian food and beverages industry is Norway’s second largest industrial sector. Companies mainly process Norwegian agricultural and fisheries products. The industry’s structure is to a large extent influenced by agricultural-policy and fishing-policy regulations. The agriculture-based food and beverages industry primarily targets the domestic market. On the other hand, the fishing industry exports more than 90 per cent of its output (Source: regjeringen.no).
